Metallic really took off towards the end of 2011 and this look is set to continue into 2012. The emphasis this year, however, will be on metallic basics- think t-shirts, shorts, and trousers. To play down the ‘bling’ factor, stick to matte metallics and pair them with neutral palettes or khaki.
